36-year-old British man dies of suspected drug drug poisoning in Ibiza
The man went to the health centre after feeling unwell and died while being transported to hospital by ambulance
A 36-year-old man of British nationality died of a heart attack early on Friday morning, May 9, at around 5am in Ibiza’s public hospital in Spain, according to sources from the Ibiza and Formentera Health Area.
The young man went to the Vila health centre on his own and was treated there, according to the same health sources.
Given the seriousness of his condition, which is a suspected case of drug poisoning, the SAMU061 ambulance service was activated and he was transferred to the Can Misses hospital. It was during the same transfer that he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest.
When the ambulance arrived at the hospital’s Emergency Department, paramedics tried everything they could to revive the man but were unable to do anything. He was declared dead at 4.55am.
