Andalucía weekly weather forecast December 15-18: Wet, blustery start with brighter skies later in the week
Stormy showers to begin the week, easing into calmer, milder and sunnier conditions across much of Andalucía
A lively few days are on the way for Andalucía, with heavy showers and thunderstorms to kick things off, especially in the east, before conditions gradually improve. It will feel cooler overall than of late, though coastal areas stay fairly mild, and there should be more in the way of sunshine as the week goes on.Monday December 15
Andalucía weather forecast, Monday December 15Monday begins partly cloudy with showers along the western Mediterranean and around the Strait in the morning, before cloud and rain spread from west to east later. Some downpours could turn thundery near Granada and inland towards Almería, where yellow warnings are in place for heavy rain and strong winds. Temperatures ease down a little overall, and winds veer from light and variable to south-westerly, with a moderate westerly picking up along the coasts.

Andalucía weather forecast, Tuesday December 16Tuesday stays cloudy with further moderate rain for much of the day, slowly clearing from west to east during the afternoon. The inland east around Jaén could see stormier bursts, while Málaga sits under a yellow warning for heavier rain. Maximum temperatures drop, giving a cooler feel, and winds shift from light to moderate westerlies to a fresher northerly, especially along exposed coastal stretches.

Andalucía weather forecast, Wednesday December 17Midweek turns calmer, with partly cloudy skies and more in the way of dry weather. The eastern third, such as Huelva and Cádiz, keeps some low cloud and a little rain early on around Almería, but brighter spells develop later. Nights are slightly cooler or unchanged, while daytime highs recover into the high teens along the southern coast, with mostly light northerly breezes.

Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday December 18Thursday is the most settled day, with partly cloudy skies and more sunshine than earlier in the week. Any showers in the far east fade, and elsewhere it stays dry with only lights clouds. Seville and Córdoba should see a pleasant day. Minimum temperatures hold steady or edge up, and while the Atlantic side cools a touch by day, the Mediterranean coast feels pleasantly mild in the sun, helped by light, variable winds.
After a rain-soaked start, Andalucía looks set to finish this spell on a calmer, brighter and slightly milder note, especially near the Mediterranean, making the second half of the week much easier to plan around.
