The Plaza de la Corredera is the most important square in the town of Calasparra and is centrally located in the heart of the old quarter.
It has been re-modelled several times and today contains modern sunshades and paving, although it still retains the historic fountain which was built in the year 1785 during the reign of Carlos III.
The plaza is the venue for many of the cultural and festive events in the municipality and is a popular meeting point for routes and communal activities.
It is surrounded by shops, restaurants and residential buildings and is a good point to pick up local bus services.
