Ever wondered what it would be like to make your own wine? Well now you have the chance to find out as Raquel Tours Murcia has a special day trip coming up that lets you try your hand at being a winemaker for the day.

On Sunday October 4, guests will head into the famous wine region of Jumilla for an experience that combines wine, food and plenty of Spanish atmosphere.

The day begins at a renowned Jumilla winery, where wine experts will introduce guests to different grape varieties, aromas and flavours before handing over the reins. You’ll taste three different single-variety wines and then experiment with them to create your own personal blend.

Once you’re happy with your creation, you’ll bottle it, cork it and add your own label before taking your very own bottle home.

After the winery visit, the experience continues at a traditional Spanish restaurant where guests can settle in for a long, relaxed meal. A generous selection of dishes will be served to the table, including prawns, seafood, meats and other Spanish favourites, with wine, beer and soft drinks included during the meal.

Live music will add to the atmosphere, with the meal taking place in a beautiful garden setting. There’ll also be an opportunity to purchase local wines, making it easy to take home another taste of Jumilla.

With wine tasting, food and drinks all part of the day, there’s no need to worry about driving afterwards. Raquel Tours provides return coach transport from a range of resorts and locations across the Murcia area, including Camposol, Hacienda del Álamo, La Torre, El Valle, Altaona, Mar Menor Golf Resort, Santa Rosalía, Roda Golf, La Serena Golf, Corvera Golf Resort and Murcia city. Other pick-up points may also be available on request.

The tour and wine bottling experience are conducted in English, making it easy for guests to follow along as they learn about Jumilla’s winemaking traditions and create their own bottle to take home.

With the combination of wine, food, music and transport taken care of, this is a chance to discover a different side of the Region of Murcia while creating a bottle of wine that’s uniquely yours.

The entire experience costs just €99 per person. Places are selling out fast so head on over to the Raquel Tours Murcia website to book your seat today.
